BTS managed to set a world record with their latest album entitled "Map of the Soul: 7". On Thursday (08/06) local time, Guinness World Records announced that the album "Map of the Soul: 7" is now the best-selling album in South Korea.
The sales amounts for the album "Map of the Soul: 7" broke the sales record for the album "Map of the Soul: Persona" which earned the title of the best-selling album in South Korea in 2019.
"Map of the Soul: 7" is BTS' 4th full album which was released in February 2020 along with the music video "ON".
Guinness World Records recorded sales of the album "Map of the Soul: 7" as many as 4,265,617 copies, as of June 2020. BTS themselves are currently preparing to release an English single titled 'Dynamite' on August 21st, before returning with their new album in the second half of 2020.
