The biggest music site in South Korea, Melon will soon implement their new system. Reporting from the media outlet Newsen on Tuesday (05/19), Melon announced that they will implement a system where they want to help listeners to find music that is currently trending.
With that aim, Melon will erase the rankings and change the listener's unique realtime chart calculation, which initially counts once every 1 hour, to once every 24 hours or daily. Melon believes that this also aims to minimize the ranking competition.
