BLACKPINK Breaks IZ*ONE's Record, 'THE ALBUM' Becomes the Best-Selling K-Pop Girl Group Album
BLACKPINK broke records with their newest album sales on the first day. On October 6th, YG Entertainment just released BLACKPINK's first full album since their debut titled "The Album". The day after the sale opened, on October 7th, to be precise, the Hanteo Chart recorded fantastic sales amount.

On the first day since the release of "The Album", it has sold 590,000 albums. This record beat the sales record previously set by IZ*ONE with the album "Oneiric Diary" which recorded 389,334 copies.

YG Entertainment also added that the sales figure would be more than what Hanteo reported because overseas sales were not included in the total.

"Since the amount of albums exported to the United States and Europe is not included in the total, the actual number of album sales is expected to be higher," said YG Entertainment.

BLACKPINK recently successfully touched 1 million pre-orders for the album "The Album" and became the highest album pre-orders ever achieved by a K-Pop girl group. (www.omkpop.com)
