BTS who managed to rank first on Billboard's 'HOT 100' in the 2nd week revealed PD Bang Si Hyuk's first response.
On the September 14 broadcast of MBC's radio program “Bae Chul Soo's Music Camp,” the DJ praised BTS' achievements as well as the first place in Billboard's “HOT 100” chart.
He then asked if the members thought "Dynamite" would take first place. Suga answered this by saying, "The week before, the first place was Cardi B, and she is a very strong artist, so we thought, 'Is that possible?'."
"It would be a lie to say we didn't expect to reach first place. When getting 1st place for the week, we thought, 'If we are lucky, we can do it,' but getting 1st place for the second week is completely inconceivable," continued Suga.
Suga then revealed that after 'Dynamite' was confirmed to be ranked first in its 2nd week, Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si Hyuk immediately contacted them and burst into tears on a phone call.
Jin took over by revealing, “Bang Si Hyuk PD said, 'Are you all together? Do you guys know what this means? This is really extraordinary'."
