Korea Entertainment Management Association Will Take Decisive Action Against Wicked Commentaries
Korea Entertainment Management Association (CEMA) has promised to take decisive action against the makers of malicious comments. This decision they took after Sulli ended her own life because there were many negative comments addressed to her.

CEMA then stated, "We express our deepest condolences for Sulli's death, and may she rest in peace."

"We express our attitude below regarding our plan to prevent pop artists from getting hurt. CEMA is an organization that is at the forefront of advancing the Korean entertainment business and is working towards healthy and systematic progress and the establishment of such businesses, and the protection of employees and artists so that our pop culture can build upright roots."

"Because anonymous verbal attacks and bad rumors continue to escalate into serious social problems, our organization will no longer be silent when cyber bullying in the form of malicious comments goes beyond what people can accept as community leaders and begins to trample on people's dignity and hurt friends and their loved ones. We announce that we will take decisive action. "

"In June 2016, CEMA joined hands with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and artists in affiliated companies for a campaign to promote healthy language on the internet. Unfortunately, even though we started the movement to send positive comments, the government cannot maintain this, and we regret that the campaign ended as an event. Our organization has faced a tragic event which includes Sulli, an artist at our member agency, SM Entertainment."

"We will no longer stand idly by, and we will do our best to eradicate cyber violence and malicious commentators. As other victims have done in the past, we will redpond the spread of rumors and malicious comments very seriously, and we will no longer ignore this problem."

"Regarding terrorism in cyberspace, we will not stop because of apologies. Instead, we will root out the makers of malicious comments, and we will make requests and petitions to the investigative and government so that commentators can be severely punished. Nothing will be forgiven, and strict action will be taken. Once again, we will take strong legal action on all fronts against malicious comments directed at professionals and pop artists. "

"In addition, our organization will be at the forefront of social action related to the eradication and prevention of cyber terror and malicious comments which defame and tarnish the reputation of pop artists. We will continue to stand at the forefront in fostering an honest society and developing a pop culture business. Thank you."
