The illegal voting abolition of 'MAMA 2017' gives a far different sound count. Previously 'MAMA 2017' took action against fans who gave illegal voting on their website.
They decide to remove the voting that violates the rules and rewards such as blocking IPs to deleting user accounts. After deleted, fans are aware of some differences in the number of votes each artist has.
Especially IU and Oh hyuk who lost the most votes for the category of 'Best Collaboration' reached 3.34 million votes. SNSD also had to lose a lot of votes reaching 3.32 million votes for the category 'Best Dance Performance Female Group'.
Ailee lost 2.88 million votes, Sunmi 2.44 million votes and Heize as much as 2.13 million votes. Bangtan Boys also has an illegal voting of approximately 1 million votes for each category, as well as Jeong Se Woon, Samuel Kim, Zico, Taeyeon and Jung Seung Hwan who lost more than 1 million votes.
