MONSTA X's Shownu Enlists in The Military This Month
MONSTA X's Shownu has been scheduled to begin his mandatory military service this month. On Saturday (07/10), Shownu conveyed the news to fans through the official fancafe page.

The member of MONSTA X announced:
"Hello, how are you? This is MONSTA X's Shownu.

Starting July 22nd, I will be taking a short leave as I have to fulfill my national defense duties. It feels like just yesterday when I debuted, but now it's time for me to enlist.

Because I worked hard until now, I have experienced the ups and downs of various meaningful moments with the members and fans. The love and support I receive from fans is not just love between one person and another, but something much bigger than that. There were times when I subconsciously started taking things for granted and times when I realized I shouldn't have.

Thank you for letting me feel and experience many things through MONSTA X. I will do my best to repay you all, so please continue to have fun with MONSTA X and Shownu. Thank you so much for making me realize that I can live new things every day.

The life I live now. The path I chose could be worse than what it was originally there, or it could be much better, I don't know. I think happiness is living while feeling things like gratitude and gratitude for love, disappointment and regret. Regardless of whether I live a good life or a bad one, I think I'm just a happy person.

Since I started talking about life just because I won't be able to promote for a while, I must be feeling nervous. Anyways thanks, stay happy and healthy always.

Letters have to end abruptly, don't they? I always love you. Yes, I love you, and let's meet again soon."

MONSTA X's agency, Starship Entertainment has also confirmed Shownu's military enlistment schedule on July 22nd. He will undergo basic military training for 3 weeks, before finally enlisting as a public service officer, because he had previously suffered an injury. (
