IU has been confirmed to star in her first big movie since debut. On Friday (03/01), IU was confirmed to star in a new film titled 'Dream' with actor Park Seo Joon.
Park Seo Joon is known have confirmed his role in the film in October 2019, while IU's role was just announced by the KakaoM agency in early January 2020.
'Dream' is the latest film from director Lee Byung Hun, who directed the popular film 'Extreme Job' and the JTBC drama 'Melo Is My Nature'.
This film will tell about a group of people who took part in the Homeless World Cup soccer tournament. Park Seo Joon will portray the character of Yoon Hong Dae, a professional footballer who must vacuum playing football after getting punished for an unexpected incident.
Yoon Hong Dae then gathered people who wanted to join the Homeless World Cup tournament and trained them with their abilities and experience in playing football.
Although it has been confirmed to be the female lead, for the time being it still unknown what kind of character IU will play in this film.
Previously, IU had shown her acting skills through the drama 'Hotel Del Luna', 'My Mister', 'The Producers' and 'Dream High'. (www.onkpop.com)
