BTS and BLACKPINK each made two nominations in the '2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards'. Both groups were nominated for Best Music Video, for their music video titled 'Boy With Luv' and 'Kill This Love'.
In that category both had to compete with Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' music video, 'Bad Guy' Billie Eilish, Sam Smith and Normani 'Dancing with a Stranger', Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber 'I Don't Care', Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie 'ME!', Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus 'Old Town Road', Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello 'Señorita' and Jonas Brothers 'Sucker'.
Besides the music video, 'Kill This Love', BLACKPINK was also nominated for the Favorite Music Video Choreography category.
While BTS was nominated for Best Fan Army, which competed with many other fandoms such as Agnez Mo (Agnation), Ariana Grande (Arianators), Justin Bieber (Beliebers), Camila Cabello (Camilizers), Harry Styles (Harries), Why Why Don't We (Limelights), Louis Tomlinson (Louies), Shawn Mendes (MendesArmy), Niall Horan (Niallers), Selena Gomez (Selenators), and Taylor Swift (Swifties).
In 2019 ARMY won the Best Fan Army award for two years in a row. Whereas in 2018, BTS also won an award in the Best Boy Band category.
