BigHit Entertainment has registered the copyright name of Bangtan Boys and ARMY. This news was conveyed by the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) which stated that BigHit Entertainment had registered the copyright for the names 'BTS' and 'ARMY' in July.
Although BigHit Entertainment has registered the copyright name of 'Bangtan' and 'Bangtan Boyz' in 2012 ago, it is not unusual for agencies to register the copyright of the artist's fanclub name.
It seems that the agency intentionally wants to register the name ARMY, because the use of symbols is unique and because ARMY is the reason behind the great popularity of Bangtan Boys in the world.
