Every year, South Korea has various awards events and prestigious music festivals enlivened by many K-Pop idols. In order for fans to be involved, these events also hold online voting for many categories. Don't forget your favorite idol vote at the events below!
MBC Plus X Genie Music Award (MGA)
2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards (MGA) will be held on November 6th. This is an award event organized by MBC Plus channel and music streaming application, Genie.
Asia Artist Award (AAA)
In 2018, Asia Artist Awards will be held on November 28th. This event will not only give awards to Kpop idols but also actors and actresses who have contributed to the entertainment industry.
MelOn Music Awards (MMA)
This year's MMA will be held on December 1st at Gocheok Sky Dome. To choose your favorite idol, make sure to enter the Melon application and choose them!
Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA)
One of the biggest and most significant music awards is Mnet Asian Music Awards as Mnet is known for organizing this event for 3 different days in 3 different countries. MAMA in 2018 will be held in Korea, Japan and Hong Kong from December 10 to 12.
SBS Gayo Daejeon
Same like the previous year, it was announced earlier that 2018 SBS Gayo Daejeon will also be held on Christmas Day. This is one of the first end-of-year music festivals held in Korea.
KBS Gayo Dae Chukje & MBC Gayo Dae Jejeon
Although the date for the remaining two-channel music festival has not been announced, many suspect that the event will take place near the end of the KBS and MBC music festival last year held on December 29 and 31.
Golden Disk Award (GDA) & Seoul Music Award (SMA)
In addition to the year-end event, the awarding event that began in the new year cannot be missed. GDA and SMA are two awards and music festivals that are highly respected by the Korean community.
