This Korean Singer Admits He is Gay
Trot singer from South Korea, Kwon Do Woon, openly admits he is gay. This statement was expressed by him through his agency Trust Entertainment right at the celebration of his 10th debut anniversary.

He said, “I want to speak as a representative of sexual minorities and want to open up prospects for more people to admit it in the entertainment industry. I hope to continue to be a representative of the LGBTQ community."

He then uploaded a post on Instagram by writing, “I was very surprised when I found out that there were many news articles about me this morning. Thank you all for your support. I'll work harder,” while including the hashtags #Gay and #TrotSinger.

Kwon Do Woon was first known through the 'National College Student Trot Contest' competition at TBS in 2009. He then released his debut album in 2010 and until now has a career as a trot singer.

Kwon Do Woon became the first Korean celebrity to admit to being gay in 20 years, since Hong Suk Chun's confession in 2000. (www.onkpop.com)
