Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korea has recently been improving social distancing rules, so that the award ceremony was held without looking at each other's face, where no winners or hosts were present.
The ceremony itself chose to pre-record instead of live broadcast, of which the footage was broadcast on MBC on September 15th.
The award ceremony was lead by three MBCs, namely Kim Soo Ro, GOT7's Jinyoung and MBC newsreader Park Ji Min.
Some of the names in the list of winners below seem to be foreign names to fans, considering that the award ceremony does not only award trophies for works and film workers in Korea but from various countries.
