Leaks about SM Entertainment's New Girl Group and Plans for YG, JYP and Big Hit
Recently, information was leaked about the plans to be taken by big K-Pop agencies in South Korea in the near future.

On Saturday (08/15), journalist Kim Im Soo gave information about plans which will be carried out by several big agencies such as SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment.

According to the report, SM Entertainment managed to rank first as the agency with the highest sales this year, but still lags behind in market capitalization compared to JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment.

SM Entertainment also plans to debut a new 4-member girl group after successfully debuting the boy group SuperM. This will be the first girl group they have debuted since they last debuted Red Velvet in 2014.

Although previously this girl group was scheduled to debut in July 2020, the plan had to be postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

On the other hand, Big Hit Entertainment will focus on the WeVerse platform which is growing rapidly due to exclusive content from their artists, from BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, NU'EST and GFRIEND.

YG Entertainment went into a slump after the “Burning Sun” scandal, but BLACKPINK's comeback contributed greatly to the improvement in the company's stock price.

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment is currently the K-Pop agency with the largest market capitalization, which is increasing after debuting the Japanese girl group NiziU. (www.onkpop.com)
