'Parasite' Becomes The First Korean Film to Get an Award at 'Golden Globe Awards'
'Parasite' became the first South Korean film to win an award from the 'Golden Globe Awards'. On Monday (06/01) the 77th 'Golden Globe Awards' was officially held in Los Angeles, United States.

Through the award ceremony, the film 'Parasite' managed to get an award trophy for the Best Foreign Language Film category.

'Parasite' even managed to outperform other popular films, such as 'The Farewell' from the United States, 'Les Misérables' from France, 'Pain and Glory' from Spain, and 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire' from France.

When welcoming the award trophy, director Bong Joon Ho said, "You can definitely enjoy more films if you can get past the little fence called ‘subtitle’. It is an honor to be nominated with other international directors," he said.

Not only became the first South Korean film, 'Parasite' also became the 4th Asian film that won an award at the 'Golden Globe Awards' throughout history. (www.onkpop.com)
