Wanna One Agency Clarifies the Problem of Using "Hedwig and the Angry Inch’s" Concept
Wanna One Agency clarified their use of the 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' concept on the latest album. Previously Wanna One had received criticism from writers, actors and directors of the film and musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch".

Because Wanna One uses symbols from the film which are considered to have a deep historical meaning behind it. So John Cameron Mitchell felt the agency Wanna One had acted impolite in using these symbols and oversimplifying them.

Responding to the criticism, Swing Entertainment agencies explained that Wanna One comeback teaser concept was based on the 'origin of love' found in Plato's book entitled 'Symposium'.

According to the agency, the symbol is also based on the unique concept of Wanna One, which consists of destiny, binary systems, and is not limited.

The agency also confirms that there was no problem of copyright infringement, because the concept was taken from an idea inspired by the universal values that all humanity must have.

This idea is indeed widely spread through the song 'The Origin of Love' in the film and musical 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch'. In addition, the agency also claimed to respect the opinion of John Cameron Mitchell as the filmmaker and musical. (www.onkpop.com)
